Username & password rules

This is where most registrations fail. Follow these exactly.

Username rules

  • Only letters, digits, and dots allowed
  • Combine your name with numbers, e.g. ramesh.sharma2026
  • No spaces or other special characters
  • Cannot be changed once set, choose carefully

Password rules

  • 8 to 30 characters long
  • At least one uppercase, one lowercase, one digit, one special character
  • No simple sequences like 123
  • Must not contain your username, DOB, mobile, or employee ID
Use your real name in the username. If you ever forget your SSO ID, it's far easier to recover.
Troubleshooting

Common registration issues

What to do when registration won't complete
IssueSolution
OTP not receivedEnsure your mobile is linked to Aadhaar / Jan Aadhaar. Check DND and retry after 2 minutes.
"Mobile number already exists"Your number is tied to an existing ID. Use Forgot SSO ID to recover it, don't make a new one.
"ID already exists"You may have registered before. Recover the old ID instead of duplicating.
Jan Aadhaar member not showingYour name may not be in the family list yet. Update it at an e-Mitra centre first.
Accidentally made two IDs? Your Aadhaar can only link to one. See merging duplicate SSO IDs.

Common questions

Registration FAQ

Can someone from outside Rajasthan register?

Yes. Anyone can create an SSO ID using a Google/Gmail account. Out-of-state candidates need one for RPSC/RSSB jobs and are treated as General category.

Is there an age limit to register?

No official age limit. Students usually create one from Grade 6 onwards. Children under 18 may need a parent's help for OTP verification.

Can I change my username later?

No. The username is permanent once set, so pick it carefully. Your name plus a number is the safest choice.

What if I already have an SSO ID but forgot it?

Don't register again, you'll create a duplicate. Recover your existing ID by sending "RJ SSO" to 9223166166, or via the login page. See recovery.
